Parades

Parades won’t usually make a ton of money for an organization, but it is an inexpensive way to get publicity.  Check the local parades in your area and come up with a great float theme.  Volunteers love riding in parades.

Oriental Trading is a great site to buy inexpensive throws for parades.  You can personalize some throws if you print stickers with your organizations information.  The imprinted lollipops are very inexpensive and can be used for all kinds of things.

First Giving

First Giving has a lot of great tools and information.  They record their webinars and you can watch them at no charge.

Their donation program seems great if you don’t have your own website or you want to do a quick fundraiser and not open a credit card account.  Please note...First Giving does take a percentage of the donations for fees for their service.
